A side by side comparison reveals that iPad has a higher resolution, therefore making surfing and reading easy on the eyes. Microsoft Surface on the other hand comes with various input such as microSD and USB, powered by Windows 8, this could be a real portable laptop on the go for everyone. Imagine running Microsoft Office on your tablet.
The only drawback for Apple iPad is the lack of USB, SD reader and the inability to run Microsoft Office, the keypad thing is not a big deal because it can be bought via third party accessories such as Logitech.

Will Microsoft Surface Beat iPad?
Probably not, what suppose to be a tablet replacement to counter the popularity of iPad, the Microsoft Surface could potentially cannibalize the sales of Ultrabooks and laptops. Since these devices runs on Windows, it won’t effect the bottom line of Microsoft but hardware manufacturer that fails to innovate will stand to lose, especially those with large laptop market share such as Acer, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Asus and Sony.
