Watch the X in the middle very closely. You will see the purple dots disappear then move your head slightly off center, the dots will reappear.

It doesn’t have a lot to do with the picture itself. If you do it right, you can stare at anything for a little while and everything around that point will start to disappear. The image may, however, speed up this process.
The actual illusion is this: Stare into the cross in the middle and not only will the purple dots disappear, but you will also see a green dot going round in a circle!

its not fake, the illusion as to do with the pink dots dissapearing and the green dot taking their places. the actual thing that you see when you dont look at the center cross is SUPPOSED to move

the point of this illusion is to STARE AT THE CROSS AND THE DOTS DISSAPPEAR!!! it has nothing to do with the blinking light. this is not fake. you just misunderstood the point of it.

If you focus on any object, this can happen, but it takes ages.
It is an animation, you can tell, but it still works whether you stop it or not.
Its only put in animation so you can see the green dot moving.
Its a nice effect. Its really awesome.
