Hier is een kort verhaal dat uit de eigen website van Google wordt genomen. Ik kan niet eenvoudig veronderstellen hoe deze mensen Google en het werkelijk opkomst dat zij negeren die laatste lach het luidst lachen. Gelukkige Verjaardag Google! U bent nog mijn nummer 1 onderzoeksmotor.

Larry en Sergey bleven werkend om hun technologie door de eerste helft van 1998 te perfectioneren. Na een weg die een zeer belangrijk principe van de manier zou worden Google, kochten zij terabyte van schijven aan weggeefprijzen en bouwden hun eigen computerhuisvesting in de ruimte van Larry dorm, die eerste de gegevenscentrum van Google werd. Ondertussen zette Sergey een bedrijfsbureau op, en twee begonnen met uitnodigende potentiële partners die een onderzoekstechnologie zouden kunnen willen vergunning geven beter dan toen beschikbare om het even welk. Ondanks de dotcomkoorts van de dag, hadden zij weinig rente in de bouw van een bedrijf van hun rond de technologie die zij zich hadden ontwikkeld.

Onder die nodigden zij waren vriend en Yahoo! uit stichter David Filo. Filo was het ermee eens dat hun technologie stevig was, maar moedigde Larry en Sergey aan om de dienst zelf te kweken door een bedrijf van de onderzoeksmotor te beginnen. „Wanneer het volledig en scalable wordt ontwikkeld,“ hij vertelde hen, „spreek opnieuw.“ Anderen waren minder geinteresseerd in Google, aangezien het nu gekend was. Één poortCEO vertelde hen, „Zolang wij 80 percenten zo goed zoals onze concurrenten zijn, is dat goed genoeg. Onze gebruikers geven niet werkelijk om onderzoek.“

Symantec slams Firefox again (and again)

Symantec slams Firefox againI guess Firefox is not as safe as what they said it would be. There were 47 vulnerabilities documented in Mozilla browsers this year, 38 bugs for Microsoft Internet Explorer and 12 holes for Apple’s Safari, but when it comes to fixing bugs, Mozilla still stop the list with a respond to bugs within a day or two, wherelse Microsoft takes 9 feaking days, Apple on the other hand took 5 days.

Security in Internet browser is a major issue, and with the current market of equally divided share among these competitors, trojans and worms are harder to spread. What the market need is another browser to have an equal number of the pie. Perhaps Opera Browser might make an impact in the near future, afterall, they’re the first browser to introduce tab browsing.

I used to browse the web with Opera, its fast but very unstable. I was annonyed with the constant crashing and hanging of the browser and eventually make a come back to Internet Explorer, it was only 2 years ago I come accross this new browser called Firefox and I never look back. Firefox rulez.

When they say the Japanese is good in the art of miniaturization, then they have to look at this new Chinese product - Xun Chi 138. Look like a kid product to me, this baby comes with a keypad that has been ditched in favor of a 260k color touchscreen LCD inorder to shrink pack it, and it has a 1.3mp camera.

It may sell well in a relatively smaller built asian, where Asian’s thumbs and hands are relatively smaller than their western counterpart, and the cartoon like phone is gonna be a total failure judging by the overall design. China produce great products in qualtities, but then do need to emphasize in quality at the same time. Small enought for a child in america but definately not meant for adult use.
