Google YouTube Delete Videos

This video has been removed due to terms of use violation

So much for that USD 1.6 billion Google spend on buying up YouTube for its vast pirated library of videos and the community, and now they are removing most of the videos. What is the whole point of buying up YouTube in the first place?

In the first major mass removal of content in its history, YouTube has removed nearly 30,000 videos after being contacted by a number of Japanese rights-holders, according to the Japan Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC).

Fine, I can understand that but what about home made video like Guy Commits Crime, Posts On YouTube? Why would they delete that video? There is no copyright, no nothing. USD1.6 billion to delete million of videos? Google is cash loaded. Its the worst deal ever for Google.

I know what you mean, it’s all kinda crazy – and will probably end up as a place for people to post adverts for games, and make video-blog posts of themselves rambling on…

As for the crime one, if it’s being used in an ongoing investigation, it can’t be shown legally or somesuch in case it some how influences the trial :)
