我有几blogs,并且为了目击这个所谓的奇迹,我被唬弄了入交换 克里斯“cutline” wordpress题材 and to my dismay there is no 450% increase in visitors.

Increased Search Engine Traffic by 450%

Chris said just give it a try and you’ll know without any facts to back him up. It is like me telling the entire Blogger Blogspot user that by using template from GeckoandFly, you’ll have a higher ranking in Google thus a 200% increase in visitors. Nice try Chris but no thank you.

Well, if this story is true then it’s a good idea not to include a link to his place. Not even a rel=”nofollow”.

I’m guessing you put cutline on there for like 1 and half minutes and when your site didn’t just explode you got pissed off and turned it off.

I mean you still have to write content, build good links and do all the other stuff you normally do if you are a good blogger. Like write interesting content. That’s a huge part of Chris’ success is he writes great content that people link to.

Switching to wordpress and better semantically pure code is what helped HIM increase his traffic.

He didn’t say that if you drank some koolaid danced around a bonfire and flashed his theme on your site that magically you would turn in to Seth Godin.

If you are looking for that check aisle 9.

    Peace out dude.

If you’re going to practice yellow journalism on your site, then you would be doing your readers a great favor by getting all of your facts straight.

Your post is riddled with holes, and while I’m certainly open to the idea of a dissenting viewpoint, I did want to take the time to point out the things you’ve said that are incorrect.

I never said that you had to use the Cutline theme in order to achieve this “miracle.” In fact, I even mentioned in the comment thread that similar results could have likely been achieved with a different theme.

Next, you’ve made it abundantly clear that you didn’t take the time to actually read or comprehend my post, because you say, “he claims that has special meta or tag or some code that are able to get you a higher ranking in search engine.”

The reality here is that I said the theme had lots of built-in SEO features with the exception of an auto-generated meta description. In case you don’t understand plain English, that means that the theme does not include this feature.

The fact that you hollered “bullshit” without even taking the time to comprehend what I was saying leads me to believe that you carried some sort of bias with you while reading the post. Perhaps you viewed it as shameless self-promotion, or perhaps you thought I was claiming something that I wasn’t.

Although I thought my headline was abundantly clear, apparently I need to spell it out to you here. I never said that YOU could improve your search engine traffic by 455% in one month. On the contrary, I wrote that post to show others how I did it.

Putting that kind of information out there on my site serves as a contribution to the entire Web development community. Perhaps somebody somewhere can take the information that I’ve provided, apply it to their own scenario, and achieve something remarkable.

Clearly, it’s not going to work for everybody, but to sit there and say that no one could be helped by such information is not only shortsighted, but also naïve.

For the record, “most” WordPress themes do not come with a properly-formatted title field, although there are certainly quite a few out there that do.

Finally, the fact that you viewed my post as evangelism about some kind of “miracle” is really a compliment. Apparently my copy was so compelling, engaging, and clearly presented that you believed you could go out and achieve something similar.

So, if I get nothing else out of this, thank you for having a definite emotional response to my work — it’s always nice to know you’re doing things that are effective.
