I need a new comp badly, my old comp Pentium 4 with a clock speed of 1.3GHz (first generation) is too slow for today’s computer needs. It is so old that it is running on RD ram, yes folks, 768MB of RD ram with a fsb of 800Mhz.
I’m not sure sure about AMD, I heard that it heats up quickly but then price wise AMD is like half intel’s price and double the speed (more or less).Guys, I need some feedback. Intel or AMD?

November 23rd, 2006I’d say you get an AMD. yeah it heats up a little quicker than Pentium but the fan can handle that problem.
Speedwise and pricewise, AMD is your best choice.
