Bittorrent Goes Hollywood

bittorrent hack hacked crack cracked

Founded in the year 2004 with a new kind of file swarming technology, Bittorrent allows user to share and download large files quickly over the internet without a central server. Bittorrent use to be Hollywood’s number one enemy and seeing that Bittorrent does not has a central server and no possible way to stop the illegal activities, Hollywood studios join in. The BitTorrent Entertainment Network is launching today with more than 35 content partners and a thick catalog that offers more than 5,000 movie titles.

Priced at the same level as other download services, TV show episodes will cost $1.99 each. Unlike iTunes and Amazon’s Unbox, though, movies will only be available on a rental basis. A $2.99 price will allow consumers to watch a movie for 24 hours, with a $1 premium on top of that for newly released titles. So, basically you are allowed to watch the video for a certain period only. Kind of cool right?

Dell to Sell Linux PCs

dell sells linux computerAfter collecting thousand of online surveys from various country, Dell has announce the soon to be introduce Linux line of PCs for consumer. This is an interesting move considering that only a few months ago Dell introduce AMD as an alternative to Intel processor.

Such a configuration won’t soon unseat Microsoft’s dominance in the marketplace, the only person that is able to bring down Microsoft is they themselves, for example Windows would eventually evolve to a stage where it is almost perfect and there would be no reason for an upgrade. People would continue recycle and reuse older version of Windows to save cost. This would greatly impact Microsoft Revenue and future.

Giving the end user a choice between Linux and Windows is a good move but considering the fact that some people might take this as an advantage to install pirated version of Windows. My suggesting would be since Linux is free, Dell should have it pre-installed in every computer together with Wndows, this would provide the end user a choice between Linux and Windows.
