Minority Report is one of the best movie ever about the future, and just like in the movie, tag that are almost invisible to the naked eye are now made available by Hitachi. The RFID tag on the left image is at 0.05 square and that is actually 64 times smaller than the Hitachi chip on the right. Hitachi plans to bring this to market within 2 to 3 years.

Google has lifted the invitation-only restriction on Gmail but it is still in Beta mode. The latest feature would be a additional storage space for heavy user for a small sum of fees per year, which makes me wonder who needs a 2GB ++ storage space for emails? I have no idea, anyone kind enough to enlighten me with some facts on why do we need email storage more than 1GB? Let alone 2GB?

Now that Google has more computing muscle, (Google co-founder Sergey) Brin said the company will start selling additional storage capacity to e-mail users with extraordinary needs. Google still hasn’t figured out the specifics, but Brin indicated the e-mail storage and fees to be introduced later this year would be similar to Google’s photo-hosting service that charges $25 annually for 6.25 gigabytes and $500 annually for 250 gigabytes. - AP Press

You know, this imitation thing is getting way too far for Meizu. We all know Meizu is an Apple fan and when every products they launch seems to have this Apple touch to it - Music Card. This is the latest Smart phone from Meizu called miniOne and I wonder, is the Windows Mobile 5 licensed by Microsoft or yet another pirated copies.

And the winner is - Sony’s Blue-ray.

Sony's Blue-ray

Self praise is no praise. According to Sony, Blue-ray is the obvious winner when it comes to the format war, mainly due to the popularity of Playstation 3. Reportedly two Blu-ray Discs were sold for every one HD DVD last month, these numbers does not matter and when it comes to pricing, HD-DVD beats Sony flat. HD-DVD is cheaper to produce and to buy as well and with the entry of Chinese manufacture next month for HD-DVD, this would likely change the overall competition. Nobody is the winner yet.

Here is a sneak peak at the next Windows Mobile 6 that is about to hit the market, there seems to be a big improvement over the interface. I’m currently using WM5 and I guess there won’t be much difference over WM6 besides those fancy graphics.

www.theartofquitting.com is a Dutch website which encourage visitors to contribute a quit smoking message in the most interesting way they can create. Did you know that China has the largest smokers in term of numbers, believed to be around 300 million while the total smokers in the world exculding China barely reach 200 million.

Smoking in the middle kingdom seems to be out of control and the government seems to encourage the populaion to smoke, one of the many reason being that state company owns cigarette factory and tax contribute a large portion of the national coffer. Unlike western countries, cigarette companies comes in weird names such as “longevity” and many more. Imagine instead of Dunhill or Marlboro, there is this longevity” brand that sounds like every puff increase your life span.
