Google Phone, the project do exist

So for once rumours are true, Google admit about the existence of a secret phone project that might change the way we use our phone, probably like what Apple is doing but in a larger scale. Google did mention about their thoughts on why phones should be free and could be free, I guess they are exploring new markets such as mobile phones where mobile advertising is still in its infant.

“Google has come out of the closet at the CeBIT trade fair admitting that it is working on a mobile phone of its own,” Mr Windsor wrote in a research note. “This is not going to be a high-end device but a mass market device aimed at bringing Google to users who don’t have a PC.”

Google’s aim is to bombard the world with advertisement, now, how would they go about doing this? For example, advertisement in Gmail are targeted through the the content of the email, would the same concept apply to sms? I would certainly hate that! No worries, we shall know in a few months time if the world of mobile would be Googled!
