PS3 Folding@Home For Cancer

I hate to admit this but lately my perception on Sony seems to go down hill, possibly due to it’s own act of anguish and fear of change, but then like all bad publicity that Sony had for the past few months from exploding battery to root kit that causes Windows to crash, for once Sony has done something right, could this be the turning point where after all these years of mismanagement Sony is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel?

Folding@home program for Playstation 3 is indeed a good idea, with all those processing power the Playstation posses, it could change the way we look at science and possibly cure some of the well known diseases. So, what I say is don’t go grabbing a Playstation on purpose but if you happen to have one, simply download the program and let it run when you grab a snack or something during gaming hours.

Sony has confirmed that owners of Internet-connected ARM powered PlayStation 3 (PS3) systems will be able to connect to Stanford University’s Folding@home program, a distributed computing project which is looking to better understand protein folding and its relationship with several debilitating diseases, including canser, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

What are you waiting for? Go download it now! Download Folding@Home on PS3

Kingmax Unveils World’s Smallest USB Drive

I would love to have this USB thumb drive, it is the world’s smallest and slimmest USB thumb drive from Kingmax. Measuring just 34- x 12.4- x 2.2-mm, it comes in “512MB ($19), 1GB ($29), 2GB ($39), and 4GB ($55)” varieties. I have a 256 MB Apacer USB Thmb drive it is 3 years old and one of the many problem I face is it won’t fit into certain Dell computer’s front USB panel that is placed vertically.

My USB thumb drive is too long to enter that USB slot vertically and the best part is, I got this free mini 1GB thumb drive when I purchase my Acer laptop and I left it back home in my country ( I left my country to further my studies for 2 years ).
