South Korea blocks foreign porn sites

I guess it is about time the world follows South Korea’s move, filtering internet content such as porn do not consider as internet censorship like what the western people wanted the east to believe. One of the reason being that no parents in the world wants their child to be expose to such materials, sure one can easily get those imitation pornography CDs on a street or simply download it on Bittorrent, but won’t it be easier to simply ban these kind of website?

I just couldn’t understand why The United States Supreme Court is considering whether it is unconstitutional for libraries to block access to internet porn sites.

The Ministry of Information and Communication said it will block 180 foreign sites by May and plans to ban access to others by end of this year after consulting with internet service providers.

It is about time the ICANN get their act together and set up the .xxx domain name for the sake of the world, it would be way much easier for every parents in the world. Goodness, think of the future.

Is that a real Samsung LCD monitor?

cheap samsung monitor LCD plasma

It used to be Sony monitor that the entire world is eying but I guess time changes, Samsung is now known as the king of monitors and with their almost unlimited budget in R&D, Sony has a long way to catch up, in fact from what I’ve read, Sony is collaborating with Samsung for certain models.

One of the many problem with being big is that cost would eventually come into question, for example Samsung needs to ensure the quality it promise and the need to advertise, and unlike some other unknown LCD manufacture in Taiwan and China, these manufacture produce LCD panels at a way much cheaper rate than Samsung. This is where Samsung comes in, buying up LCD panels from them and slap their name on it… I guess that explain why my Samsung monitor died after less than a year.
