Acer Recall Laptop Batteries

Finally Acer is joining Dell in recalling 27,000 of the Sony made batteries for its laptop, Affected models include a slew of TravelMate and Aspire notebooks sold between May 2004 and November 2006, as usual the company will replace the battery for free and this would likely be a big blow to Sony and its battery division again.
Check the official Acer Battery Exchange Program for the list of batteries that might be affected, my Acer laptop was not affected. Thank God!

September 11th, 2009I think that Acer knew that their laptop battery is also malfuctioning and could cause damage to the user’s of laptop. It’s a good move to acer company to recall all it’s battery products so that they would replace their own product….
