Technorati New Ranking System

Technorati made some fundamental changes to their blog ranking system, the new system is called “Authority” rank which reflect a blog’s position within blog sphere. Some of the major changes are the elimination of multiple linking from one blog, meaning to say if you happen to have 5 links from one blog, it would literally count as one point for the new Authority ranking system, something Technorati should have address it long time ago. Another major improvement is the tracking of links within the 180 days, if a blog has been abandon by the blogger or is in hibernation mode then the link to your blog would be redundant and a minus one point from your Authority points.
