16th May 2007 will always be remembered as the AppleGate day, Engadget - a tech blog posted about the iPhone going to be delayed for another several months following by another delay for the next Mac O/S, according to Endadget, they receive an internal memo that sent from Appleās email server to Apple employees and was then forwarded to Engadget from a trusted source.
Truth is, Apple’s mail server was hacked, that is not really important but what follows after the bogus story is that four billion dollars in market cap was wiped off of Apple’s stock price in just about six minutes of trading after the rumors was spread to wall streets.
The bigger picture is, who hacked the server and did the guy who first started the rumors make any profit from the sudden drop in stock price? Now, that is the real catch.
