Gay Rainbow Flag
October 29, 2007 · Filed Under Uncategorized

I have no idea that the gay community has a flag and it comes in Rainbow colours, wikipedia has this to say:
There are several unrelated rainbow flags in use today, with the flag of the Rainbow family being an obvious example. The most widely known is perhaps the pride flag representing gay pride.
Any idea why a rainbow flag beside pride?

November 5th, 2007The Rainbow flag can be found in all kinds of places these days; one of the most famous is on Market and Castro (and flags flutter throughout the Castro). The colours symbolise diversity and hope; - have a look at the Wikipedia entry:

Lovely shot by the way. Where is it?

November 18th, 2007In 1978, Gilbert Baker of San Francisco designed a flag with six bands that represent all six colors of the rainbow as a symbol of pride for the homosexual community and of lesbian’s community.
Red means life, orange means health, yellow means the sun, green means the nature, blue means art, purple represents the spirit.
