Gay Rainbow Flag قوس قزح العلم مثلي الجنس

I have no idea that the gay community has a flag and it comes in Rainbow colours, wikipedia has this to say: ليس لدي اي فكرة ان المجتمع مثلي الجنس وعلم انه يأتي في ألوان قوس قزح ، فهرست هذا يقول :

There are several unrelated rainbow flags in use today, with the flag of the Rainbow family being an obvious example. وهناك العديد من قوس قزح لا علاقة لها استخدام الاعلام في اليوم ، مع العلم قوس قزح للاسرة ويجري مثالا واضحا. The most widely known is perhaps the pride flag representing gay pride. اكثر المعروف على نطاق واسع وربما كان العلم يمثل فخر مثلي الجنس فخر.

Any idea why a rainbow flag beside pride? اي فكرة لماذا قوس قزح بجوار العلم فخر؟
