Norton 360 Version 2.0

I am thinking of running a contest where the price is a free genuine copy of Norton 360 version 2. I’m not sure how am I suppose to run this competition, it would be great to see something for a change instead of boring post.

How about the person that blogs in their blog on why he/she should win a copy of Norton 360 from GeckoandFly? Suggestion?

Norton 360 Version 2.0

Norton 360 version 2.0 is out now, and I’ve downloaded the trialware did some performance test on two of my comp and surprisingly it is overwhelming, the new version is lighter, faster.

According yo Norton, it uses 73% less memory compare to version 1.0, it boost up any applications by 6% faster, and the user interface response is 92% faster. In short, Norton 360 is a great product and does exactly what its name says in covering the security of your computer. It’s nice to have a product that’s somewhat user friendly and efficient. Speaking of user interface, I would say McAfee has a very user unfriendly interface.

Some of the new features in Norton 360 version 2.0 are:

Network Monitoring, which checks the status of wireless security, maps connected devices, alerts users when they are connected to an unsecure network, and provides advice to help manage network security settings. Norton 360’s Smart Background Scheduler has been enhanced with the ability to prevent tasks from initiating automatically while in battery power mode and also throttles bandwidth for online backups to minimize impact on performance. Norton 360 users have the option to manually scan individual files and folders and to shutdown their computer upon completion of a task.

Norton 360’s anti-phishing and Web authentication functionality has been extended to Firefox. Enhancements have also been made to the Norton toolbar, allowing it to be resized or hidden. Source: WWPI.com

Given today’s threat landscape, computer users need to gravitate towards all-in-one solutions like Norton 360 to address their essential security needs, the Norton 360 Version 2.0 cost around 80 dollars, a reasonable price for a trouble free PC.

p.s. Avoid downloading a copy of Norton 360 version 2 from any Bittorrent site for the time being, not only it is a version 1.0 disguise as version 2, but it comes with a virus.

Ha. This would be really cool … if Norton weren’t a virus in and of itself. I ended up removing Norton from my system after the 2007 update because it bogged down my system more than any virus could.

I figured I’d rather have a few viruses than Norton on my system … at least I didn’t have to pay for the viruses.

No antivirus can help you from a new not defined threat.
I used most norton products which provides the best security in web.Never was i disappointed. No virus affections.Whenever i used other products i hav to reinstall my OS due to attacks.
Most people complain about the less system performance caused by norton because they dont know how to choose the version appropriate for your system.

But i used Norton 360 for 15 days and found it the best , both in performance and protection.

    Those who comment ………

JUST TRY NORTON 360 and make comments

360 version 2 was wonderful (been using it the last month or so), I upgraded to version 3.0 two days ago and my laptop (Vaio with Vista Business) went completely ‘mad’, app’s would just hang, I couldn’t open half of the app’s from the desktop (double clicking them would do nothing) or start menu…complete mess! so uninstalled it & computer is fine again, no idea what 360 (version 3.0) did?? I’ll be asking symantec for a refund, pity, I’ve always supported symantec’s products…
