In the bottom of the "edit source" window, (where you are meant to copy and paste code into) - if you look below the box. You will see a button that says "revert to classic template" - This template was built around bloggers classic template, not the new one which is the default. Blogger does however give you the option to revert your blog back to "Classic" - once it's in classic mode, copy and paste, and you're good as gravy.
