Watch Beijing Olympic 2008 Opening Ceremony Online Free

Is it possible to watch the Beijing Olympic 2008 online? The answer is Yes and No, depending on the location you are streaming from. TVTonic is partnering with NBC Olympics to bring the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games to Windows Media Center. Yes, it is possible to watch online (am not too sure if it is stream live from Beijing) and the only catch is it’s only available for US user only.

  • Download & watch full length Olympic events
  • watch while “on the go” and off-line
  • hours of video covering over 20 Olympic sports
  • subscribe to your favorite events for automatic delivery to your PC

NBC is further expanding its coverage of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with an Internet-delivered catch-up TV service powered by TVTonic on Windows Media Center on PCs running Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate! With NBC Olympics On The Go and Windows Media Center, you will be able to create a customized channel lineup of your favorite events for automatic download to your PC. Download NBC coverage of the Games overnight, and take them with you to watch online or offline in up to HD quality.

My only concern is, why only stream it to US citizens? and to limit the streaming to Vista users is a no brainer, and why YouTube did not take any concrete steps to stream the games from Beijing?

My advise is, try other alternative websites such as Ustream.tv or MLB.tv, fear not, P2P technology will prevails. Update
YouTube has just announce the availability of video from the olympic games this summer, the only catch is it is only made available for certain countries, do check it out - YouTube Beijing Olympic 2008.

    It is son unfair!!
I live about 2 hour drive to the US, yet I’m still in Canada so I can’t I can’t do a lot of stuff online.
The problem is those American are so selfish and they think they are the greatest country therefore they think they should have more services than others!

@gil: I think the decision was made based on economic factor, undeniably america has a bigger economy which translate into more money. For example the playstation was initially made available in america and japan and not china or europe because the american and japanese market is huge, way much bigger than europe.

go to hell gil! you have no idea what the American people are going through and we are truly unselfish. Our leaders and representitives may have not made the best dicision but their self righteous actions should not set up how american people truly are, because we are very respectable people in likely hood and personality, and should not tolerate comments like that and would not! We are proud people but not cocky, and not selfish.

you may not beable to do alot of things online but you have free healthcare. here in the United States Health care is outragious just to see a Dr I have to pay a $150.00 and my medicine cost me over a $1000.00 a month so you do have some thing in Canada that are better than the U.S. has. So stop you bull Shit comments every country is different and everyone would love to be somewhere else where they could do something different but trust me when you get there you don’t want to be there because there are problem that you don’t know about, that is in any country.

America is the “SUPER POWER” no doubt, but please keep in mind that the United States has to give in order to get.

We lend a hand to every country for every disaster. Not only our government, but the people (many celebrities) that reside here in the U.S. make personal donations to organizations that fly out to give food and water to people in need.

Statistics show that more than half of the American population do not have medical insurance. We have to pay out of pocket to see a doctor. Most people now a days where I live have to work 3-4 jobs to survive.

“YOU’VE GOT TO LIVE TO KNOW IT* AMERICAN WAYS ARE AMERICAN WAYS. NOT ALWAYS RIGHT-NOT ALWAYS WRONG…BUT VERY DIFFERENT” PEACE!!

you all need to stop being hateful because all of our countries have made horrible mistakes no one is perfect. Nobody is better than anyone in God’s eyes. We all laugh, we all cry and we all die. We are all human and all of our governments are striving to be one in the world. There will come a day when it don’t matter how much money you have, how strong your military is or how good of a show you can put on. All that will matter is how much love you have in your hearts. Stop standing up for our governments they are all crooked. Peace and love.

I can hardly see my keyboard with all these flags waving in my face.

All that time and money spent on the ceremonies, and people STILL are finding reasons to pick them apart and complain.

The Olympics are a farce. A cash-grab hiding behind a bullsh1t message of unity.

Americans feels that they are the best but really there are not. They went into another country first it was to get weapons of mass destruction but really it was all about the people oil. Now there are suffering more and more hurricanes will come and when they fall one head of the beast would have fallen six more to go.

we all have different opinions & points of view, & we certainly are all entitled to them–i would just like to point out that each one of us can benefit from one thing in particular: it’s called spell check. please try re-reading your comments before posting so you don’t read to others as idiots. using correct punctuation, grammar, and spelling aids to warrant your claims & is more likely to convince others that you know what you’re talking about. peace!!

I think America is awesome. I love it here and have a great time. I don’t know why everyone is whining all the time and hating us. I don’t really care what other countries think about us, because it’s sweet here. I love it. Besides, scoreboard. We won medal count.
