Based on my own experience, Google Maps is a very reliable and good GPS navigation software and its free. The only drawback is the weak satellite signal due to the tiny receiver. For Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 user, this is possibly the best alternative. Hopefully in the future they will support two more platforms, which is the Sony PSP and Nintendo Gameboy Advance.
