   torrents are unsafe, you just have to not be a tard about what to download, JEE if you game is 13kb, DONT DOWNLOAD IT. If the torrent has something stupid in it like (setup.exe) or picture100.jpg.exe, dont download that either.. TORRENTS ARE SAFE.

   Hey guys doesnt matter if its in google or torrent.. you need to see whats inside that torrent that you are downloading.. if you dont trust this guy… go to http://www.torrentz.com and search for iphone 3g firmware there you will see the latest official 3.0 apple firmware for 3g.

   Hello friends,

   There is no end in proving which is better torrents or direct downloads.

   The key is in knowing just the right link in the right website or even the the right torrent file.

   I found this link from where I used the *.ipsw and jailbroke my iPhone 3G and iPod 1st Gen. .The website is safe to download and it is all the final build.

   Hi Everybody,

   I just downloaded the os 3.0 for my 1 gen Ipod and it wouldn’t work, itunes wants to restore the ipod, and when trying so, I encounters an error. Now I’m stuck, the ipod wouldn’t work, tried most of the things apple says would resolve this program, but so far it wouldn’t work. I’m trying to download another .ipsw file, but how do I get Itunes to restore from the new file? I think what it wants is to do is restore from the wrong file… Thanks!

   iPod Touch 3 0 firmware update

   This updates your iPod Touch to the latest 3.0 firmware.
   This is the orriginal update from apple, so no jailbraik yet.
   How to use:

   Check if you have a first generation or second generation iPod
   (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Touch for details)

   Connect your Ipod, Open iTunes, hold SHIFT and press ‘Check for
   Update’ or ‘Restore’ (depends on if you want to update or a
   clean install). Select the appropriate firmware file. Update
   takes about 15 minutes.

   What if I fuck up?

   If you manage to brick your iPod, for example by turning of your
   machine during the update, you can always do a clean recovery by
   folowing these steps:

   1.Make sure iPod is completely powered off.
   2.Hold the home button while its off.
   3.While holding the Home button, connect the cable. The iPod should power on.
   4.Keep holding the Home button.
   5.The Connect to iTunes image should come up.
   6. Congrats, you in recovery mode.

   In I-tunes:

   1.Click SHIFT+recover
   2.Select the appropriate firmware file.

   note: On a MAC, use option-click instead of shift-click
