I used to use Windows Vista X86 SP2 with 4GB DDR2 RAM then it used only 300MB when applications do not work expect Kaspersky IS 2009 an some of background applications
but I made a new installation and installed the 64bit and enable the Memory Remaping then it used more than 1GB always.!!!

I use x64 Vista SP2. All my games and programs run fine. Took awhile to get proper drivers for my Ideazon keyboard but finally got that sometime last year.

It takes along time for people to accept change and because the backwards compat is pretty bad at the moment, you get people like me with hundreds of PC games wondering if there 32-bit software will run on the new 64bit OS's

It's nice to live in a time where every OS is practically useless with modern software and/or hardware.

I've always wondered, did apple go through this same ordeal (to this day) during the switch to Intel chips, or was this just a massive hardware problem (but more convenience for programmers) for Microsoft to bring people into the "not 5 years ago" 64 bit technology age?
