Optimize Windows Computer Speed Performance With Disk Defragment Freeware

How to optimize your computer performance for speed and stability? When it comes to computing speed, the bottleneck is none other than the hard disk, which is by far the slowest component in our computer. Unless you are using a Flash SSD hard disk, the read and write speed of a hard disk is more or less the same 20 years ago with minimal improvement.

CPU and memory work much faster than hard disks because they do not have moving parts. Therefore fragmented disks often become a bottleneck of the system performance.

I knew all that stuff about hard disks and computers already. What I didn’t know about is Auslogic, I tend not to use freeware because they often come with other programs that are install on your pc without you even knowing about that.

I highly recommend Diskeeper 2009 for all defragmenting. It’s the only defragmenter I know of that has a smart technology that does the defragmenting in realtime — eliminating system slows, slow boot-up, etc. caused by fragmentation. It’s not free, but you get what you pay for with the freebees from my experience.
