To speed up Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8, you’ll need to re-register a dll file. It is not that complicated, below is a step by step tutorial.

Click ‘Start’ –> ‘Run…’

Type ‘regsvr32 actxprxy.dll’ into the empty box as shown in the screenshot above.

A confirmation window will appear, click the OK button.

Now launch your Internet Explorer again, you’ll notice that it loads way much faster. Same goes when you open a new tab.

    Another good way to help speed up IE is to disable unnecessary add-ons or add-ons with a larger load time (more than a .2 sec load time). You can do this by going to Tools->Manage add-ons.
