How to backup your files in Google Sites? I do occasionally use Google Sites for experimental reasons, and I find downloading the files one my one troublesome, not to mention very discouraging.

If you’re in the situation as I am, try Google Sites Import/Export. Its a free Java tool for all Google Sites user, the application lets you export the pages from a site and all their attachments to a folder.

The only drawback I find it the inability to upload html files to Google Sites, however, html files imported via the software can be exported back to Google Sites. Probably the idea is to discourage people from using it as a ftp software, after all, Google Sites Import/Export is a backup too, not a FTP tool.
