How to detect a liar? How to catch a liar without high tech equipment such as a lie detector? You need a good eye, good ear and a healthy skepticism.
- People tend to touch their nose and scratch their face when they lie.
- Follow their eyes, liar then to blink a lot and cannot maintain eye contact.
- Check their smile, people who are telling the truth tend to use many facial muscle but liar just smile with their mouth.
- Pay attention to details, liar tend to provide more information that necessary, they are being overly specific when they are making things up.
- Change conversation subject, if they are over relief then it is a sign of lying.
Watch the video for more tips, high recommended by me. Liars are everywhere and the information gained might be useful in our daily conversation with friends and strangers. According to JuriSense on touching the nose:
When Bill Clinton testified about his affair with Monica Lewinsky, he touched his nose every four minutes when lying, but rarely touches his nose when telling the truth. Blood pressure goes up when a person lies and otherwise feels anxious, angry or upset, which causes a tingling in the nose. People will often lightly touch the underside of their nose, by the nostrils, to satisfy this itch. This touching is quicker and gentler than the more deliberate, vigorous, repetitive rub to satisfy a typical itchy nose. It may occur several minutes after the lie, when the attorney is speaking with another juror.

This is bull shit. This theory is a big flop. Most of the people has habit of touching their nose and scratch their face while talking. Some people to blink a lot and cannot maintain eye contact while talking but they are not liar.
I agree. Some people are slower thinkers then others, or honestly do have a hard time remembering
therefore look down when thinking of words to say, then look at you when saying the word. I think it
could be more in the eyes! When someone is talking to you, notice if they glance left or right more
then the other. If their eyes shift to their right, their using the left part of the brain (logic, detail,
words, present n past, acknowledgement, reality based) which is more truthful. Glancing to their left
means their using the right side ( creativeness, imaginative, fantasy based, risk taking, spatial preception,
presents possibilities, impetuousness) which could mean making up little things as they go. Im no
doctor or psyc, but im a filmmaker and i noticed this when interviewing people and watching there facial
expressions so i did a little research
dude just stop lying…lol jk
I think u 2 r retarded, but I understand u have a strong opions. but if u don’t like this stuff then here r somethings that may work too. if you want to try these tips that r in this artical then u should compare them to the persons normal behaviors. if they don’t normaly exibit these traits they maybe lying. also if someone lists events or something like that ask them to repat the events or terms in backwards order. liars only think to learn the lie forwards never backwards.
i think this stuff is good if u guys watch lie to me (bestt showw everrr) then u know its true they use science not make stuff up
so hahaha this stuff is true not bullshit
I thought the video was interesting. I lie very much and i know it’s not a good habit. After a few moments searching on google about how to detect lies I came to the conclusion that there is no easy way in detecting a lie. All the previous comments? I didn’t even bother to read cuz the only people that leave comments are the radical people and the super bored people (which would be me). So having this all said it’s pretty funny that my reply is mostly ture even though I lie tremendously. The only spots i would say were lies are the part about the video being interesting (i only thought the visual affects was interesting, the rest was just the same information over again) and the part about me knowing that lying is a bad habit. lol it’s 4:30 AM in the morning and i’m replying to a video about lying…
nose itches becouse there is a nerver at the tip of the nose that get activated with some emotions( one becing lieing) that irritates them and thats why they scratch it
finding out what people look like when thier telling the truth is called getting a base line, dombass!
You can’t even spell correctly, I would call you the dumbass!
Yes it is called getting the baseline which is what Jarod was explaining. This site is actually true, although it may be in their regular nature to scratch their nose and do the qualities listed so you have to get the baseline first.
It’s called getting the baseline first than judging if they’re lying
your right, some people have habbits like that, but that is habbit can aslo be used as a weapen when it comes to lying. A liar will on perpousely touch his nose and his face just to throw you of course and to make him seem like hes acting normal, because of his habbit of touching his nose of face, just to avoid detection
People often shift their eyes when they are looking for an escape because they are nevous or scared. They may or may not be lieing when they do this.
