The Trial Reset wont work on a 64-bit system, if the trial reset dont work check your specs. However the Trial Reset works when you restart your PC, when you log back up the trial resets back to 15-day trial.

Trial Expired:
If Norton won’t work on Reinstall, and still says Trail Expired, or using Trial Reset.
You will need to Delete the Hidden Registry Key that is not removed by Uninstall or the Norton Clean tool.
The hidden key will also not show in Regedit.
You also need to delete all Norton folders.
In Windows 7 or Vista Delete all Norton Folders in ProgramData, or Win XP Under Documents and settings, All users or user name, in Application Data folder.
I discovered this, and fixed the problem using the Norton Beta Version for Windows 7 64 bit, it also worked on regular 2009 version on 32 bit sys.
Copy and Paste following Text, and save into a text file, and save with the extension of .reg
Make sure there is no breaks or spaces in the line of text.
Click on the file and windows Regedit will delete the hidden key.
Reinstall norton and it should work again.
