Finally the all new XTool Laptop Tracker is here, I’ve been searching for a laptop theft tracking software than utilize the built in camera. Apple Mac user has the Adeona, I don’t see a reason why it took another laptop tracking company so long to release a version that uses the built in camera for Windows XP and Vista. LaptopSentry is a more robust solution but less expensive solution that does all of the things you mentioned above for less – I would definitely recommend checking it out – I use it and love it!
Adam, I haven’t heard of laptop sentry before, but I know that a simple encryption set-up on the hard drive tied in with a label to identify the owner is a great, simple and cheap way to help prevent problems.
