- Step 4 – Once you’re done with the wizard, the fax program will appear, click “Tools”, and in the dropdown menu select “Fax Accounts” and click on “Add” to complete the process of establishing the fax connection.
- Step 5 – To send a fax, select “New Fax” on the toolbar and enter a recipient and fax number when the window opens. In The “To” field in the fax window is linked to addresses stored in Outlook or in the Windows Address Book so it can easily retrieve your contact’s fax number and enter it in this field. Manually enter the name and number if it’s not in the address book.
- Step 6 – Enter your fax message into the text box, once done, hit the “Send” button. Congratulation, you’ve sent a fax in Windows Vista.

Vista Ultimate x64 Windows Fax and Scan.
How do I get my old XP Professional Faxes into my new fax and scan. I copied over my XP fax sub folders into C:programdatamicrosoftwindows ntMSFax folder but, Windows Fax and Scan does not see them. I copied them into the identical folder names under the MSFax folder. I cannot find an import feature.
