Acronis is well known for their backup software, and it is not a surprise when they announced the availability of Acronis Online Backup Beta for the public. Since the online backup service is still new and in beta mode, prepare to have a buggy experience. Some of the features are:
- Encryption of data and transfers between client and server
- Discrete backup process
- Automated schedule and backup data categories
- Backup of multiple computers with one account
According to their website, the Beta program Phase 1 is scheduled to begin on July 8th of 2009. The Beta program Phase 2 is expected to begin later in July and last approximately four weeks. Meaning to say, signing up for the beta program is still possible. I believe once the beta tag is removed, beta tester will be given special discount based on the evaluation and comments given to them. Acronis Online Backup is a service integrated with Acronis True Image 2010 Home.
