For some unknown reason, the calculator in Windows XP is missing, one of the reason I suspect is a bug. Rumors has it that a bug in Windows XP Service Pack 2 and 3 is causing this error. Anyway, reinstalling the missing calculator isn’t that hard. Follow the step by step tutorial as shown below:

Go to ‘Control Panel’ –> ‘Add and Remove Programs’

Click on the ‘Add/Remove Windows Component’, a window will appear shortly. Double Click on ‘Accessories and Utilities’

Another window will appear, click on ‘Accessories’, if the ‘Calculator’ check box is not ticked, check it! and click ‘Ok’
