BonkEnc is a free audio converter and CD ripper which integrates various popular formats and encoders. It currently supports MP3, MP4/M4A, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC and Bonk files. To convert a YouTube to mp3, you’ll need to download the YouTube HQ (High Quality) version of the video, which is in mp4 format, not the normal format in .flv.
When you’re done downloading the YouTube HQ in mp4 format, add the file to BonkEnc.
Select ‘Encode’ –> ‘Start Encoding’
Go to the output directory, look for the output file, it is now in mp3 format (screenshot above)
