How To Speed Up Windows XP Boot Time

How to increase your Windows XP system boot time? I am into computers, so are some of my friends, some are really fussy when it comes to boot up time while some have the habit of keeping not more than 4 icons on their desktop due to speed. BootVis 1.3.37.0 is a free tool by Microsoft, the design goals for Windows XP using BootVis are:

  • Boot to a useable state in a total of 30 seconds
  • Resume from Hibernate (S4) in a total of 20 seconds
  • Resume from Standby (S3) in a total of 5 seconds

Impressive right? Unfortunately, the tool is not available from Microsoft’s website, however, it can be found in other website such as Softpedia and MajorGeek.

I gave it a try, it is fast, no doubt about it.
