How To Open Last Closed Tab in Firefox and IE7

Here is a simple tutorial on how to open the last closed tab, very useful if you accidentally closed the tab.

  • Firefox 2.0 and above – Ctrl + Shift + T
  • IE7 and IE8 – Ctrl + T or Ctrl + W

This information is wrong. For IE, ‘Ctrl + T’ is used to open a new tab, and ‘Ctrl + W’ is used to close the tab currently being viewed. These cannot re-open a tab that was previously closed.

Control + Shift + T works with both IE and Firefox
