How to install and run two or more antivirus on a computer system? Technically it is possible but theoretically not advisable, as you should known by now antivirus are resource hungry programs and having two or more might cause both of the antivirus software to fight for resources and memory, thus causing your system to be blogged down. The answer lies in G Data 2010 Antivirus.

G Data AntiVirus’ secret weapon is its DoubleScan technology, which uses two independent detection engines to scan suspect files. They’re referred to simply as ‘Engine A’ and ‘Engine B’, with Engine A described as the more effective but slightly more resource-heavy of the two.
In reality, Engine A is a licensed implementation of Kaspersky‘s scanning engine, while Engine B is licensed from Avast. You can use both in combination or just one if you’re worried about resource usage – though in real-world usage we saw no penalty to using both engines, as per the default configuration. As of G Data Antivirus 2010, it uses Bitdefender and Avast engines, both are equally good. Here are G Data Antivirus features:
- AntiVirus
- AntiSpyware
- AntiPhishing
- AntiRootkit

If you’re looking for an antivirus that gives you twice the protection with half the price, G Data is the answer. I did blog about it in one of my previous post, according to AV Comparatives, the best antivirus software company based on detectability rate is G Data (Hardware Based, not the software based).
