HP Pavillion Computer And Laptops Vs Sony Vaio Laptops

HP Pavillion computer su*ks? How reliable are HP laptops? I am torn between HP dv6000, Acer, and Sony, I decided to surf the net for more information, and here are some of the reviews on HP from CNet:

  • “Product worked fantastic…for 16 months.”
  • “Dead in less than two years”

Then again, reviews can be bias, or fake. Then again, according to a research by a company selling warranties for laptops, Asus, Toshiba and Sony topped the chart with the least problems, on the other hand, HP, Acer and Gateway are three of the most unreliable laptop manufacturer in the world. Look at the chart below:

The Most Reliable Laptop Survey, Best Netbook Reliability Comparison

Based on comments I read online, the survey as shown above and first hand experience by friends and family on the reliability of Sony, I decided to go for a Sony laptop instead – Sony Vaio VGN-FW55GF. With the release of such an earth shaking data, prepare to see a shortage of Asus, Toshiba and Sony laptops. Demand will be higher, which is true, when I was scouting for a new laptop, dealers from Asus, Toshiba and Sony kept of using the data as a selling point, I think it works.

I am a Sony Vaio owner since 8/10. I would not buy this laptop again. My vaio has crashed 3 times! I regret my purchase and would advise anyone who is going to spend $800.+on a laptop to stay away from Sony products and spend your hard earned cash on a Mac. I wish I had. Sony electronics… TV’s, stereos, speakers, ect are good products and have given Sony a good reputation. Sony needs to focus on products that have served their customers well…. Let Apple, HP, Dell, Toshiba ect. be the pc/laptop manufactures.
