How to block spam mails from entering my Hotmail account? They say Gmail has the best spam filtering system, but somehow I find Hotmail’s spam blocker system are way much better, not to mention Hotmail is my primary email account, it should receive more spam mails, from a logical point of view because I tend to subscribe stuff via my Hotmail email address.
Anyway, a simple rule you ought to know is never unsubscribe from any spam mails. Never click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the footer of the spam email, by doing so, you are acknowledging the existence of your email account, this will essentially makes you a target when the spammers enlist you in their ‘whitelist’ category. A flood of spam mail will come if the spammers decided to share it among other spammers.

Go to ‘Options’ –> ‘More Options’

Filters and Reporting – Uses Hotmail’s spam filtering system, automatic mode
Safe and Blocked Sender – Specify your own email blacklist
p.s. Are you using Outlook? If so, you should try Spamihilator For Microsoft Outlook, it is the best email filtering system to block emails. Are you a system administrator? You should try the CBL Spam Block, they provide a complete list of IP to block, this will gradually reduce the incoming spam mails.
