Password Strength is a simple password meter test that will estimate the brute force time required to crack a password based on today’s computing power. This is just an estimate only, everyone should know by now Brute Force no longer works in today’s internet environment because a massive influx of request will have your IP banned.

Password Strength tries to calculate how many possibilities the hacker needs to try to guess your password. It makes the assumption that it is possible to test 2800 000 000 of passwords per second.
None the less, it is still useful for offline software with password, such as Zip application such a 7zip. As shown in the screenshot above, password with a combination of words, text and symbols are harder to crack where as a password consist of numbers took less than 4 seconds.
