Perhaps the most embarrassing thing to occur on a person when it comes to emailing is to forget the attachment. This happened to me not once but quite a number of time. If you use Outlook as your default email client, then Forgotten Attachment Detector is a great, free add-in for Microsoft Outlook that can help you avoid this embarrassing scenario.

This add-in works on Outlook 2007 and 2010, what it does is it scans your email for keywords such as ‘attached’ or ‘enclosed’ or ‘see doc’ or more, and if such keywords exist but no files was attached to the email, it will promptly notify you of the mistake.
Like other Forgotten Attachment Detectors on the web, when you send an email FAD checks it for keywords that indicate you’ve forgotten to attach an attachment. If it detects this, it notifies you and gives you a chance to correct any mistakes.

As shown in the screenshot above, you can customize the list of keywords. Personally, I find this tool very useful. This addon is probably a life saver when it comes to corporate image, imagine the impression given by you to your client if the email comes without any files attached. All in all, it is a must have tool for outlook user.
