Facebook Lite is for those with a really slow internet connection, it comes with all the basic features minus the advertisement and silly facebook game updates your friends tend to post on their wall.

Thank you for the info. It’s really good to know that we will be able to access a lighter version of Facebook…
Although, it seems to have a problem today. I’m currently trying to access Facebook (both versions) and seems like it just won’t load up. After waiting for 10-15 mins or so it just comes up with this message: The connection was reset. Of course, in any other days, was absolutely fine.
I am trying to open it up from the UK. Any ideas? Thanks!
