There are two investment option, Gold ETF Fund and physical Gold Bullion. Personally, I invest in physical gold, reason being that I know I own the real thing as oppose to a piece of paper. Most Gold ETF leverage up to 20 times, meaning to say if everyone tries to cash out gold in physical form from the fund, they might not even have enough money to pay you, let alone compensate you in physical gold.

Remember, always find out the profit margin before you invest. How much it cost to buy and how much you can gain by selling it. The ideal return of investment (ROI) is 5%, anything more than that is a scam. Where to by gold?

Gold coins are more of a collector’s item, the face value of the gold coin might exceed the actual melt down value of the gold content. Therefore it is always advisable to invest in gold coins cautiously. Gold coins may carry a higher return if it is limited to a certain amount, for instant, a special gold coin to commemorate the royal weddings in Britain and etc.
Is gold a good investment
Yes and no, it depends on current situation and future affairs. Gold is a good hedge against inflation when government all over the world prints money out of thin air. By investing in Gold, you are protecting yourself from inflation, one have to remember that it is not the price of Gold that is going up, it is because of the value of money that is going down the drain.
