Perez Hilton Celebrity Blog Sued

Once a blogger becomes famous and his/her blog is making tons of money, the lawsuits join in. Perez Hilton, a celebrity gossip blog involved in a bitter $7.5 million lawsuit with a paparazzi photo agency. Reason being that he used or source images from the internet without permission.

Perez Hilton does sound like Paris Hilton.

He usually sources the pictures from the internet, a practice not liked by the media companies. In one case, Hilton had somehow obtained and posted the photos even before the actual owners had a chance to put them on its own website.

Now X17, a paparazzi photo agency, has decided to slap a $7.5 million lawsuit on Perez alleging that he has used 51 photos without permission, payment or credit.

Hilton is not willing to give up and says that he is fighting for the entire blogger industry. Will be a very interesting case to watch. - Digital Inspiration

How I Increased Search Engine Traffic by 450%

How I Increased Search Engine Traffic

Pearsonfied has two great Wordpress themes available for free, listed in Wordpress official site as one of the must have theme, I have to admit that the author - Chris Pearson is a very creative person.

His recent article on how to increase your blog traffic by a whooping 450% is unbelievable. In his post, he argues that in order to achieve this miracle, you need to use his “cutline” wordpress theme. He showed graphs indicating a tsunami of visitor to the site after switching over to his theme, which he claims that has special meta or tag or some code that are able to get you a higher ranking in search engine.

In the image above, note how my search engine traffic jumped an astounding 455% from September to October. On top of that, the total number of search strings that resulted in visits to Pearsonified jumped up 232%, from 1,128 to 2,619. - Chris

I hate to say this but whatever he wrote there are all bullshits. Well, not really, come to think of it, if you’re a Blogger user and just switch over to wordpress, chances are you’re going to experience this sudden increase of visitors - definitely. One of the main reasons being is that you got your own domain name and Google tend to rank you higher. The other reason would be the headline of each post, Wordpress or most of its theme tends to display the title of the post first then follow by the title of the blog, which is a search engine friendly feature.

I have a few blogs and in order to witness this so called miracle, I was fooled into switching over to Chris “cutline” wordpress theme and to my dismay there is no 450% increase in visitors.

Increased Search Engine Traffic by 450%

Chris said just give it a try and you’ll know without any facts to back him up. It is like me telling the entire Blogger Blogspot user that by using template from GeckoandFly, you’ll have a higher ranking in Google thus a 200% increase in visitors. Nice try Chris but no thank you.

Blogger War - ShaolinTiger vs SmashPop

blogger war

Seems like things over down south is not quite peaceful as it seems to be. I am a loyal fan of ShaolinTiger and have been reading his blog for almost a year now and I am also a loyal reader of smashpop.net, I have to admit that smashpop take great pictures.

It all begins when Mr.ShaolinTiger called smashpop a gay for no reason, and both camps (their blogger friends) started exchanging words at the comment section. I’m not sure if this is the first Blogger War but hey, I’m enjoying it. SmashPop even quoted a small paragraph from the Malaysian Law about defamation. I would suggest that they meet up, I can not wait to witness that flying fist from Shaolin and that Jumping kick from pop star.

Blogger War round one. - ShaolinTiger Win. The only thing Smashpop did was to post that defamation thing, I would have done the same thing, nice move popstar.

Blogger Beta Template Feature Complete

It’s official now, Blogger Beta is no longer in “beta”. Its time to go full swing and next week I’ll convert all of the template to the new Blogger format, Hopefully the classic layout is still workable. Personally I prefer the classic template, it is easier to code.
