Apple iPhone Games

It appeared that rumors for once is true, somehow someone manage to run Doom on Apple iPhone, not quite sure how these guy did it considering the fact that Apple prevent developers from writing softwares for iPhone. Running Doom on iPhone is the first challenge, the second challenge would be the playing part - there is no buttons, except for one.
New iMacs, iWork, iLife, Dot Mac upgrades

Apple wants to offer a certain level of computing experience, and that can’t be done on the cheap. “We just can’t ship junk,” Jobs said.
Ladies and gentleman, the all new iMac, and Steve Jobs is betting that the iMac would be the next best selling desktop PC ever provided that the desktop PC market recovers from the dead.
The new entry-level iMac comes with a 20-inch glossy LCD screen, a dual-core Intel processor, a gigabyte of memory, a quarter-terabyte of storage, and a built-in webcam.
What makes the new iMac stands out is the new aluminum and glass styling is strongly evocative of the company’s hit iPhone. Nothing much to shout about, I was hoping a new Operating System and possibly a Quad Core processor as the new entry line-up.
But then again, with the ability to run Windows in an iMac, this could possible be the selling point Steve Jobs is talking about, I for once as a boss would be glad to purchase these iMac, virus free.
Sony recalls DSC-T5 Cameras

If you happen to own a Sony DSC-T5 camera, take note that Sony Electronics has issued a global recall for the Cyber-shot DSC-T5 digital cameras. The defects on the camera is due to the bottom plate of the camera that could potentially scratch or cut the users’ hands.
Sony is offering a free replacement of the casing for effected models and the best part is Sony is paying for the shipping fees.
According to Sony, approximately 350,000 Cyber-shot DSC-T5 cameras have been sold in the U.S., Europe, and China, with another 66,000 apparently sold in Japan.
Next generation Zune Scorpio mp3 Player delayed

Microsoft has yet to officially announce the launch of the next generation Zune player but it appears that there might be a delay (as usual). No official statement was given, for those that are looking for a decent mp3 player with lots of features, my advise is to wait for Zune.
Microsoft may not be a very good hardware company but what makes Zune interesting is the fact that it has tons of features, one of the key features missing from Apple’s iPod is the FM radio.
According to Zune Scene, the next generation Zune is flash based. Visit Zune Scene for a comparison between Apple’s iPod and Microsoft Zune.
Western Digital Energy Saving Hard Disk

Finally, Western Digital is leading the hard disk industry in bring out energy saving hard disk, according to source, The GreenPower family will ship in capacities from 320 Gbytes to 1 terabyte and will use 40% less energy than other similar products.
The GreenPower drives only consume about 8.5 watts compare to Hitachi’s 13.5 watts, currently it is only available in 3.5 inch format, if Western Digital has the ability to further reduce the energy consumption and comes in a 2.5 inch format for the laptop, they have a winner.

Panasonic unleashes Lumix FX33, FX55, and FZ18

You can’t go wrong with Panasonic, it appears that Panasonic has just release three brand new cameras - DMC FZ18K, DMC-FX33 and DMC-FX55. I own a Panasonic FZ20, which is a pretty old model but it is rock solid in term of performance, what makes Panasonic unique compare to other digital cameras such as Sony, Nikon and Canon are:
68 iBugs for iPhone and Counting
First was the iWorm, now comes iBug. The people from Apple Hound took the task to hunt down for known bugs by toying around with their iPhone for hours, according to them, there are a total of 68 bugs and counting found in the iPhone, the bugs range from minor display issues to application crashes.
This is just a tips of an iceberg, since the iphone was marketed in a hurry and it is the first phone produce by Apple, there bound to be lots of bugs, I’ll wait for the second generation.
