Awake Monster Zune

Finally Microsoft admits that they do have a plan to produce a iPod killer and the project code name is Zune. Like all great project, it is bound to fail, why? Well, if Sony, Creative and iRiver fail to do so, how in the world could Mr.Microsoft with no knowledge in mp3 player able to beat them?
Below are some facts that we gathered about this secret project:
- The first Zune device will be launched this year, with more devices to come in 2007.
- The Zune media device will be drive-based, and have WiFi.
- The Zune brand is intended to be an entirely vertically integrated end-to-end solution, not unlike the iPod / iTunes / iTunes Music Store triumvirate.
- The logo we had is, of course, real.
- Microsoft will bully their way to victory again.
Nice try Microsoft, unless your player is loaded with features and dirt cheap, I’ll stick to my good old iPod player. Prepare to be iPod Killed!
Aldebaran Robotics – humanoid “Nao” robot by 2007

The project launched in the early 2005 aims at putting a robot in every house, for an affordable price, a humanoid robot based on mechanical, electronic and voice recognitive features, the French call it Nao.
They way I see it, they are a long way from success, the Japanese have proven themselves with real robots and unlike the French, it is still in paper. The bot should also please homebrew aficionado’s, running on Linux and controllable via its built-in WiFi, with customization possible using the open source URBI programming language.
Currently in final development phase, the first specimens for sale will be presented at the end of 2006 and available in the second half of 2007. Awake monster!
