Φαίνεται ότι το πρόβλημα αυτό αυστηρότερο ότι ποιο σκέφτηκε αρχικά ήταν, για εκείνους που εξαρτάται βαριά από Skype και έχει τη σύνδεση προβλήματος, δοκιμάζει μερικούς από τον ανταγωνιστή Skype, Πρόγραμμα Gizmo και Μεγάλος Google κεντρικός.

DRM Free Universal Music but Not On Apple’s iTunes

Universal Music Group is conducting an experiment where they’ll be offering most of their music catalog DRM free for a period of six months only, the down side is - Apple’s iTunes is not invited to join the party.

It appears that Universal is boycotting Apple, Gods know for whatever reason it maybe but their plan could possibly backfire if Apple manage to pull off another ‘must have ipod’ and continue dominating the world of mp3 player.

Lenovo Linux PCs

lenovo-mast-logo.gifLenovo, the world’s third largest computer maker announced that it will begin offering Linux as an option in its notebook computers, joining the ranks of other computer makers such as Dell. It appears that the market is responding to a weaker Windows Vista.

Looking at the entire scenario from a different point of view, if the market shows a demand for Linux PC, it could signal a desire for a change in operating system or possible an opportunity to purchase a cheaper computer compare to a preloaded windows. Either way, Microsoft Windows is here to stay for quite sometime.

p.s. I believe Acer would be the next company to announce a choice of Linux operating system.

Cheapest Windows Vista costing only $66

Microsoft has dramatically cut the price of Windows Vista Home versions in China in a bid to boost sales.

This could be seen as a move to counter the wide spread of pirated version of Windows Vista in the chinese market, which is believed to be selling for $1 per DVD. Reducing Vista’s price in China narrows the price gap between original versions of Microsoft’s software and pirated copies, and should result in higher sales

But, the problem is not about piracy, it lies more on the mentality of each individual. Having the opportunity to further my studies in Australia, I have come to notice that with the current booming economy, the whites or Australians do buy pirated CDs when they visit countries like China or simply download them off the internet with programs like Bittorrent.

$66 may be cheap for citizens from first world countries.
