firefox browser

The latest figure release by onestat shows that Firefox browser continue to gain market share over leader IE. Firefox now has a total global usage share of 12.93 percent, while Internet Explorer commands a lion share of 83.05 percent. I am a big supporter of Firefox, and I would say Firefox is a better browser compare to IE in term of usability, security and most of all stability.

The market share vary from country to country, for example Firefox market share in Aussie is around 24%, while Germany has a market share of 40%. That is alot if we were to compare it with US Firefox user, which has a very dissapointed 16% market share. With IE7 and Firefox 2.0 due out this year. The competition is only going to heat up! As a big fan of Firefox, I have to admit that with the release of Microsoft Vista next year, Firefox is going the Dodo bird’s way – extinction.

google gdrive unlimited storage

It is no secret anymore that Google is testing a new storage service codename Gdrive or Platypus. Infinite storage. Universal access. Larry Ellison’s “Network Computer” has finally arrived, and it’s Google that brings it to life. This is the perfect answer to P2P file sharing, now this makes me wonder how in the world is Google going to make money from it? Is it a hoax?

According to the original source – Geekness, Google has these features to offer:

  • Backup. If you lose your computer, grab a new one and reinstall Platypus. Your files will be on your new machine in minutes.
  • Sync. Keep all your machines synchronized, even if they run different operating systems.
  • VPN-less access. Not at a Google computer? View your files on the web at http://troutboard.com/p.
  • Collaborate. Create shared spaces to which multiple Googlers can write.
  • Disconnected access. On the plane? VPN broken? All your files are still accessible.
