Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch
Lenovo was awarded the task to design the Beijing 2008 Olympic torch, it is called the “Cloud of Promise”. Inspired by the shape of a traditional Chinese scroll, the imagery of the ‘Cloud of Promise’ represents the traditions of China, while the shape, texture and technology evoke the Olympic spirit, but the design seems a little Japanese to me, especially the tsunami wave part.

I was searching for the Yahoo FAQ page and somehow I stumble upon this very old outdated page, dated back all the way to 1998. Brings back all those old memories of my net surfing days during the mid 90’s with a 14.4kbp modem, web pages back then was simple, low in resolution and the best part is spam blogs or pages was almost non-existence.
