Εξερευνητής 7 Διαδικτύου για τα ληστευμένα παράθυρα

Η Microsoft έχει αφαιρέσει τη γνήσια απαίτηση επικύρωσης πλεονεκτήματος παραθύρων για τον εξερευνητή 7 Διαδικτύου, οι χρήστες που τρέχουν τα ληστευμένα ή πλαστά αντίγραφα των παραθύρων XP μπορούν τώρα να μεταφορτώσουν τον εξερευνητή 7 Διαδικτύου.

Είναι για το χρόνο Microsoft ρίχνει μια καλή ματιά στη μονοπωλιακή τακτική τους ότι αγαπούν τόσο κατά τη διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του '80, είναι εκεί πολλοί περισσότεροι εναλλακτικοί brower έξω στην αγορά που είναι πρόθυμη να αρπάξει ένα μερίδιο από εκείνους που δεν μπορούν να μεταναστεύσουν από IE6 IE7, και ο μεγαλύτερος νικητής είναι μη εκτός από Firefox.

Vista της Microsoft SP1 βήτα σε Bittorrent

Υποθέτω ότι είναι επίσημο τώρα, Engadget ανέφερε ότι η Microsoft είναι πυροβολισμός ο βήτα μεταξύ 10.000 - σε 15.000 ανθρώπους το Σεπτέμβριο, αυτοί δύναμη και πρέπει να παρέχει το α χείμαρρος μεταφορτώστε.

Έχω περιμένει το πακέτο υπηρεσιών για αρκετά κάποτε τώρα, ένας από πολλούς λόγος για τον οποίο αρνούμαι να αναβαθμίσω από XP Vista είμαι η σταθερότητα, υποθέτω ότι είναι χρόνος να αναβαθμίσει. Καθένας εδώ με κάποια πραγματικά κακή εμπειρία με Vista παραθύρων; Ειδικά εκείνοι που τρέχει Vista στο lap-top τους;

Η FBI εγκαθιστά μακρινά spyware για να επισημάνει την απειλή βομβών

ZDnet has an interesting article on how FBI remotely, I repeat - remotely plant a virus by email without the knowledge of the user, the manage to trace the user right after planting it without the user clicking on the virus. Which is pretty shocking right?

The FBI used a novel type of remotely installed spyware last month to investigate who was e-mailing bomb threats to a high school near Olympia, Wash.

The question is:

If they can plant a virus, then they can plant evidence, too.

Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Its official now, Windows Service Pack 1 is on the way, and according to Microsoft they might launch the service pack 1 anytime soon, presumably this august.

Windows Vista user, take note that SP1 would be launch in beta mode, not highly recommended for end user. On the other hand, Microsoft has announce the on going project on the next generation Windows, code name Windows 7 and it will be available in 3 years time, not word yet if it is a complete build up from scratch or a band aid solution, we do know that Windows XP and Vista are coded from ground up which explain the time frame needed to complete the project.

Mozilla Releases Firefox 2.0.0.5Mozilla has just released an update for its Firefox 2.0 browser, the latest version is Firefox 2.0.0.5, one of the security issues fixed is the remote code execution by launching Firefox from IE. It is a must have update for all Firefox user, this security hole might allow unauthorized hacked access to your computer and its content.

If you happen to be like the very latest of eveything, by all means try the latest Firefox 3.0, remember, Firefox is still the best browser compare to IE, at least according to me.

Vista More Secure than Linux and Mac OS X

Is Windows Vista and XP really secure than Linux and Mac OS X? According to Microsoft’s Security Technology Unit Jeffrey Jones, Vista and XP are indeed better than the other OS, or so it seems.

One of the reason for such a high number of vulnerabilities is the fact that other OS like Linux and Mac comes bundle with tons of softwares that do not exist in Vista or XP, for example operating system like Linux tend to bundle with word processing programs and image editing programs, to include these security holes together with the OS is very unfair, that would be like including Microsoft Office’s security holes together with Vista and XP.

Hidden Information in iTunes

Apple’s iTunes Plus system, launched this week, where users pay a premium for music that is DRM free, technically it is free of DRM but Apple decided that these DRM free mp3s should consist of your personal information such as names and email address.

Isn’t that scary, what if your comp was hacked into and someone downloaded those mp3s and it ends up in some file sharing network, you’re roasted! RIAA is going to sue you!

The discovery of the data, of which most iTunes users will have been unaware, would be yet another drawback for a real DRM free mp3s. Love it, hate it, mp3s and file sharing networks are here to stay.

No worries mate, someone will come up with a way to somehow remove or alter the names and email address in these mp3s.
