Here is a new service called Blockoo, they claimed that they’re able to show you who blocked or deleted you from their MSN list.

I would love to give Blockoo a try but the idea of giving them my password is scary. If msn is your secondary email and chat client then no harm trying.

Google Search Engine Suggestion

I was typing “How to…” in Google Search box and before I could finish typing it, Google suggested something weird, “how to kill someone and get away with it in oblivion.” Do I look like I am about to kill myself?

Probably the most popular “How to” is non other than to kill oneself.

But then again, the top results for how to kill someone and get away with it in oblivion is about killing someone in an online game, probably Google filter the actual results.

Logo Orange - Identity Design and Corporate Branding

Logo Orange - Identity Design and Corporate Branding

Here is a good quote from Logo Orange website:

Make your logo fit you and not the other way around - Sometimes people create logos that they absolutely fall in love with, but they have no relevance to their business at all. The key to successful branding is to ensure it reflects your identity, tone, and service. Of course you still need to be happy with its look and feel, but your identity should be made to fit your needs, rather than you trying to adapt the business to fit a new logo. Logo Orange

I’ve always believe in that a good company should have a good logo, it reflects professionalism and a lasting impression. If you happen to have a good blog and a good source of income and desperately in need to a logo, then look for these guys, they’re good! Really good, high recommended by me. Remember, branding in blogging is as important as any other business.

Yahoo offers Web Instant Messaging

Yup, you are now able to log into your Yahoo IM with any web browser in any computer, sort of like the web ICQ. The service is tailored for use by travelers, workers whose employers block software downloads to company machines. Web Yahoo Messenger is available online at http://webmessenger.yahoo.com. It may be known as Web Yahoo Messenger but do remember that you are able to chat with your friends who are on MSN Live. I guess it is a matter of time before MSN Live introduce a Web version of MSN Messenger.

Aftervote Ajax Search Engine

What do you do when you’re not able to find the article you wanted so badly online? Google for more? My advice is try Aftervote.com, basically it is a new Ajax search engine that uses data from all the search engine, now this is not like the other wanna be Google, what makes this search engine different from others is the ranking system they use.

AfterVote rank their results according to Alexa Rank, Google PR, StumbleUpon, Yahoo, MSN Live and many more. I’ve tried many other search engine wannabe and this is by far the most promising among all. Do you happen to have something in particular that you’re not able to search for? then try Aftervote and you’ll be amazed, at least I am happy with the results.

WordPress Theme Generator

April 26, 2007 · Filed Under Web Application · Comment

Here is a simple tool for all those web master wanna be that has no knowledge in CSS and Html, Yvo Schaap has created a Wordpress theme generator with real-time preview for Wordpress blogging platform, I have no idea how this real-time preview works but this is the best tool a webmaster can have, imagine the nightmare saving and modifying the code again and again.

According to the author, the generator allows you to change the color scheme, layout, basically almost everything and when you’re done with it, you’ll be provided with a zip file for downloading. I used to remember there was a Blogger Template Generator but that was for the old classic html version, is there a Blogger XML template generator?

Google Spreadsheets Adds Charts

Google Spreadsheets Adds Charts

I’m not a big fan of Google Spreadsheets but if you happen to be one, good news! Google Spreadsheets now supports charts! Just select the cells you need and hit the chart button, it is as easy as that. It is a much needed feature from Google Docs & Spreadsheets for quite sometime, this would literally gives us even more excuses not to use Microsoft Excel.

Google should do something about the name “Google Docs & Spreadsheets”, it could be something as simple as Google Office or Google Works, something catchy unlike the current mouthful “Google Docs & Spreadsheets”. If more improvements are added, Google Docs & Spreadsheets might be able to unseat Microsoft Office as the standard typing program, and I hope Google beat Microsoft to it in 2 years time. Time will tell.
