The idea of sharing an internet connection with strangers can be really annoying, not that I have a choice, but was forced to because the landlord says so, I do have the option of acquiring my own telephone line but it is going to cost me a bomb.

Long story short, the situation was made worst when I am forced to share the internet connection with 7 people in the house; the best part is the broadband connection quota for every month capped at 40GB. That is like 170MB for each person per day, which is hardly enough. The 40GB cap per month is the ceiling quota from the company.

Since the broadband internet connection is limited to 40GB per month, why can’t these users be more considerate? Is it a must to watch funny videos online, multimedia sites such as YouTube really annoys me, especially video streaming sites that uses torrent technology.

I found a few ways to block Azureus, but could not find a solution towards the much more popular p2p video streaming software known as ppstream.com, its a Chinese video streaming website that utilize p2p technology and it is really killing the bandwidth. As much as I would like to scream ‘Go back to China’, but that is somewhat rude. (No racism here, I’m Chinese but not from China)

Buying a new VPN modem is out of the question, it is just way too expensive and why should I be the one paying for the hardware? P2P technology, it is a love hate relationship. God help me.

Check who has block or deleted you from their MSN Messenger

Due to the popularity of these ‘reveal me the secret’ web application, we’re beginning to see the rise of various numbers of ‘Check who has block or deleted you from their MSN Messenger’ websites.

You’re Blocked, gives you the chance to find out who has blocked or deleted you. You just have to write your MSN account and your password, the system will process the information and within a few seconds you’ll get the list of users who are lying to you.

For those that are not familiar with these sorts of programs, please be cautious when it comes to giving out your password to strangers especially unknown websites. I believe once a person reveals his/her password, the web application would systematically harvest all of the contacts from his/her msn list and start spamming unwanted messages to your friends and family. This can be seen in the form of ‘Find out who deleted you’ message that you received from a friend and a link to the website.

I can’t be sure to what extend these websites uses the information harvested from your msn, but I notice whenever a friend of mine took part in these programs, there is a sudden increase of spams in my inbox, it is likely that these web applications harvested my email from my friends and sold it to spammers. My advice is, do give it a try if you’re really curious about it, once you’re done toying with the web application, do change your email password.
